Kesher: Parent ConnectionDear Friends, Welcome to the 2011 2012 school year at AHA! This year, we have created a new organization named Kesher. Kesher means “connection” in Hebrew and is intended to create a connection between our school and your home. Kesher - Parent Connection aims to build a warm and supportive community for students and their families. We focus our efforts on community building, school support, and classroom support. Collectively, Kesher committee member and school volunteers serve as goodwill ambassadors for the school, planning events throughout the year for students, parents and families. In addition, they help to coordinate and implement the needs for volunteers and others resources for the classroom and school. As a parent of an AHA student, you are automatically a member of Kesher. No registration or payment of dues is required. Meetings are held on a as needed basis and minutes of meetings will be posted on the school website, and or sent home in various school wide communications. As you will see in the accompanying pages, there are many ways you can support our school. From volunteering in the classroom to assisting with setting-up at an event, there is literally something for everyone whether you have a lot of time or just a little. Our school volunteer efforts and leadership strengthen and enrich our school program while simultaneously providing a rewarding experience for you, the volunteer! Both are essential parts of our school community and send a valuable message to our children. We truly look forward to working with you this year. Best, Laura Zucker Shari Allen |
